Koolookin™ didn’t begin with a business plan — it began with a longing. A longing for freedom, for expression, and for something that could bring a little more joy into the world — starting with mine. I didn’t know exactly what it would become at first. But I knew this: I had two snarky, soulful, soft-bellied dogs at my side and a deep need to create something honest, something different.
In a world saturated with sales pitches and throwaway content, I wanted to make something that felt warm, real, and rooted — a brand with story, with life. Koolookin™ is my way of tapping into that limitless source of purpose and creativity I know is out there — and Callie and Cody? They’re the heartbeat behind it.
I’m not chasing clicks. I’m building something people can feel — something that makes them smile, or think, or remember what it means to live a little more fully. And with every word, every stitch, every post… I’m taking one step closer to freedom — not just for myself, but for anyone who’s ever dreamed of turning something small and true into something beautiful and lasting.

They may not run the site, but they definitely run the show. Callie and Cody are not just the dogs behind Koolookin™ – they’re its pulse. From morning walks, to midnight brainstorms, they’ve been by my side through every twist, turn, and tiny win. They don’t need titles or business cards. They work for food. And snuggles. And the belly rubs.
Whether they’re curled up beside me or photobombing a product shot, they remind me daily why this brand matters. Koolookin™ has heart – and it’s beating with four, no eight little paws.

This isn’t a Pinterest dream board turned website — it’s the result of years of real-life, boots-on-the-ground experience. That’s why I’m sharing these two videos.
The first is my AI doppelgänger (yes, she sounds a little too much like me) — telling the heart of my story in her perfectly polished robot way. Right below, you’ll see the actual me at a 2012 tradeshow, still figuring things out but already on a path I didn’t fully realize I was walking.
I’m not here to sell you random stuff I found online. Koolookin™ is a mash-up of everything I’ve lived — from my time in emergency preparedness, to the adventures of Callie and Cody in the dog blog, to the ideas still waiting in the wings.
